Now that employees are returning to the office, landlords and employers alike are navigating how to support the growing need for hybrid work models. Additionally, since employers (tenant companies) are prioritizing improved employee experiences — for people who are working remotely or in the physical office — landlords and property teams across the globe are investing in return to office apps to support their tenants and improve the overall workplace experience.
As a technology company at the forefront of workplace experience, HqO has launched at numerous properties across the globe. By partnering with landlords and property teams, we’ve been able to facilitate a more seamless return to work and show tenant appreciation to enhance workplace experience in a hybrid world. Since fostering a positive work environment is so critical right now, it’s important that landlords are staying ahead of the curve by enticing tenants and their employees to return to the office with experiences they can’t get at home. Here are just a few examples of events we’ve done with our customers.
HQ53
Engaging events can be effective tools in encouraging employees to return to physical spaces. Recently, HqO launched at HQ53, a Cawley Partners property in Plano, Texas. Launch week began with a small popcorn event, followed by a ‘tech setup’ in the lobby to answer any questions. The week ended with an afternoon candy-themed Happy Hour complete with a full candy bar, specialty candy cocktails, and passed appetizers.
Because of Cawley’s dedication to enhancing the workplace experience, they received immediate positive feedback from tenants at HQ53. This aligned with the larger goal for the event, which was to create an enjoyable workplace culture and some excitement about the new building app.
Brindleyplace
Across the globe, landlords and property teams are investing in return to office apps. The goal is to encourage employees to come to the office, while also helping them learn about recent amenity openings through their app.
As HqO launched in Brindleyplace in Birmingham, England, Hines UK also invited Commonwealth Games 2022 mascot, Perry, to celebrate and helped show everyone how they can make the most of their working week.
The fully-branded Brindley Life app saw positive results from its launch event, with 60% of occupants having downloaded the app in just two days to access local deals, offerings, and even yoga class booking capabilities.
5635 Fishers Lane
As landlords and property teams look for ways to entice tenants and their employees back to return to the office, it is important to connect tenants to their local communities and offer services that one may not have access to at home. The best solution is to offer a platform that can consolidate these services into one easy-to-use interface.
At the HqO launch at 5635 Fishers Lane in Washington, D.C., we helped host two days of an on-site event complete with Pop-Up Poutine, fresh baked goods, and free breakfast. The seven-story office building is owned by Tritower Financial Group and is part of a transit and pedestrian-oriented community.
This promoted the new building app, as well as partnerships with Ritual for food ordering and Datawatch Systems for mobile access.
25 Massachusetts Avenue
Work burnout is real. To combat this, landlords are ensuring employees easy access to resources and services through their building apps. A purposeful app can give tenants access to all the property’s amenities and services, including things like an on-site fitness center or massage bookings.
We recently launched a new mobile access integration at 25 Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, DC — A property owned by Nuveen and managed by Lincoln Property Company.
The team put on a fun and engaging Father’s Day-themed event for the occasion. This included a make-your-own spice rub station, grab-and-go craft beer from a local brewery, and chair massages that you had to book through the app. The goal was to give employees solutions for potential stressors that are common in the workplace. The event improved employee engagement and showed how the building app was the best way to stay up to date with events and news.
HqO is helping companies welcome employees back to the office and show tenant appreciation. There is no better time than now to promote the value of the physical workplace and show employees how great it can be to be back in the office.
